After the partnership of Geopost Yurtiçi Cargo with the leader cargo company of Bulgaria, City Express, it starts the activities in Bulgaria. The center of the new company GeoPost Bulgaria will be in Sofia, and will serve international air and land transport with Chronopost and DPD brands of GeoPost.

GeoPost has been expanding in the Balkans and new EU countries with the partnership constituted between Yurtiçi Cargo and City Express. GeoPost Yurtiçi Cargo holds the 51 percent of the Bulgaria joint venture and 49 percent of the new company is held by City Express. City Express is the market leader in the Bulgaria courier services which also strengthen the GeoPost Yurtiçi Cargo in the international cargo market. GeoPost Bulgaria, having the head office in Sofia, with its Chronopost and DPD brands it will give services of the international air transport, combined air and land transports, and land transports. GeoPost Bulgaria will start to carry the international consignments on November 2004.

About the partnership in Bulgaria, the General Manager of Geopost Yurtiçi Cargo said that “Our Geopost Yurtiçi Cargo was established last year in order to having a voice in the international area with its domestic accumulation, and it increases rapidly by making cooperation with neighbor countries. Cargo deliveries from Turkey to Bulgaria where there exist a lot of Turkish entrepreneurs will be more secure, and fast anymore. On the other hand, as GeoPost Yurtiçi Cargo we aim to be the cargo operation center in the neighboring countries soonest.”
