Yurtiçi Kargo commences its activities in
Romania as a result of its partnership entered
into with Cargus Romania after Bulgaria. Such new
joint venture namely “GeoPost Cargus” which
shall carry out its activities in Bucharest shall
offer international air express, air-road and road-based
services for the Romanian market under the brands
Chronopost and DPD.
GeoPost Yurtiçi Kargo has added a new one
to its joint ventures in Balkans and Russia and
signed an agreement with Cargus Romania in order
to establish GeoPost Cargus. GeoPost Yurtiçi
Kargo owns a 51% share in this new joint venture
with the other 49% held by Cargus. Cargus which
is one of the partners that shall strengthen Geopost
Yurtiçi Kargo in international cargo market
is the market leader in the Romanian cargo transportation.
GeoPost Cargus will initiate installing GeoPost
systems and procedures in Romania, aiming to start
outbound and inbound shipments before end 2004.
In the meantime, GeoPost Yurtici Kargo is proceeding
with its expansion plans in other Balkans countries
and Turk Republics such as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan.
