MEF High school added yet another one to its national
accomplishments.
The results of the Turkish finals of the Research
Projects among the Secondary Education Students
Competition organized by the Turkish Scientific
and Technical Researches Institution that took
place in Ankara from 11th of May to 14th of May
2007 were announced on 15th of May 2007 at the
award ceremony.
MEF High school 10 FEN-A class student Mustafa
TAGHIYEV attained the “First Place in Turkey”
and “Young Researcher of the Year” awards with
his mathematics project called the “Full Valuableness
of Algebraic Expressions and a Variant Attribute
of Binomial Coefficients” which he prepared under
the consultancy of Project Guidance Teacher Nihat
AYBER.
Our student will represent Turkey with the same
project at the EU Young Scientist Competition arranged
at Valencia City in Spain, from 14th to 19 of September
2007.
Previous year at the Research Projects Competition
organized by the Turkish Scientific and Technical
Researches Institution in the field of Physics
where the first place was not given to any project
MEF High school obtained the “Second Place in Turkey”
award and in the filed of Mathematics the “Incentive
Award”.
In addition, one of our 8-C class students, Belitsu
SALGIN obtained the Bronze Medal at the 12th National
Elementary Education Mathematics Olympic arranged
by the Turkish Scientific and Technical Researches
Institution.
We congratulate our students and we wish them
prolongation in their achievements.
