6th Counsellors Symposium
6th Counsellors Symposium of Turkey was held in 13 March, 2004 on the premises of MEF Schools with the participation of counselling experts and psychological advisors of the government and private schools, faculty members of universities and private guidance centres. 600 specialists from 26 cities had participated to the organisation to share their knowledge and experience. In the symposium, 45 declarations presented by various specialists covered the issues of improving the quality of guidance services in schools; providing productive and advanced services; sharing developments, new approaches, information and experience from new implementations, and conveying this information to students and parents through sound contributions. The importance of guidance and psychological counselling was mentioned in the declarations through highlighting the problems in education and guidance of youth. Influential messages about our children and the future were given to the families, schools, the press and public administrators.
