GEOPOST YURTİÇİ KARGO INC.
GeoPost Yurtiçi Kargo, established as a joint venture
between GeoPost (51% of shares) - a subsidiary of France's
La Poste and one of Europe's major express and parcel
shipment groups - and Yurtiçi Kargo (49% of shares) -
wich is within the body of Arıkanlı Holding - provides
international air and road parcel trasportation services.
Yurtiçi Kargo, expert of finding solutions between distances
for 22 years, took a big step with the partnership with
GeoPost, extending the success of its unremitting leadership
in national deliveries to the international markets.
GeoPost Yurtiçi Kargo has created a significant synergy
with the agreement signed on 11 November, 2003, and conveyed
this synergy to its customers as time and flexibility,
as well as a cost advantage. The company has gained the
exclusive rights of DPD and Chronopost, which operate
under GeoPost, but have different service alternatives.
The agreement stipulates that the company can use these
brands in Turkey and their distribution network abroad.
Yurtiçi Kargo operates as a privileged sub-service supplier
of this new partnership.
With this joint venture, Yurtiçi Kargo has gained important
benefits not only towards its international goals, but
towards the Turkish market, as well. Chronopost International's
air express parcel service and DPD's air and road parcel
services can now be offered to all customers. GeoPost
Yurtiçi can meet different product and service demands
of customers under a single umbrella with its high quality
service level. It is soon expected to reach a 10% of international
parcel market share in Turkey.
As the regional office of the Balkans, CIS and Middle
East Cluster, GeoPost Yurtiçi has the mission to expand
its services across the neighboring countries. Bulgaria,
Romania, Greece, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Syria and Iran
are only some of the current projects. In 2004, GeoPost
Yurtiçi has successfully signed new agreements with market
leaders in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. The target is
to have an extensive market share among other international
parcel operators.
